Corey Damen Jenkins for Hudson Valley Lighting
For the first time in our 30+ years, we’re partnering with a designer to offer you a new collection. It’s Corey Damen Jenkins, the interior design superhero kicking it with positive vibes only from Detroit. We’re thrilled and proud to announce CDJ x HVL.
“Game recognizes game.” That’s something Corey said when we sat down for a conversation recently and it applies to our partnership. We saw Corey’s work and respected his taste and skill. Meanwhile, Corey’s been specifying our fixtures for a long time.
“With Hudson Valley Lighting,” he explained, “I was using the products long before any of this transpired. What I appreciate about Hudson Valley Lighting is the fusion of high quality and high taste.”
High quality and high taste are two phrases that readily come to mind when one thinks of Corey Damen Jenkins.
If you flip through the pages of Traditional Home, House Beautiful, Architectural Digest, or Vanity Fair; if you watch HGTV; if you follow tastemakers and influential interior designers on Instagram, you probably know Corey Damen Jenkins.
Maybe you’ve seen this amazing bathroom featuring our pendants he created as an ad series for DXV:
Or maybe these rooms featured in Traditional Home with our Marietta and Cohasset are familiar?
We're thrilled to be working this incredibly talented, kind, and thoughtful designer in our first collaboration.
“Corey is a fresh, talented designer with a great personality and deep knowledge of his field. There’s a natural affinity between the work Corey is doing and what we’re after. We thought we would put our talents together and see what comes of it. The results are big character pieces with historical relevance and contemporary appeal,” says David Littman, Founder of Hudson Valley Lighting.
“It’s an inestimable privilege to be partnering with Hudson Valley Lighting. It’s a career dream come true for me. It’s also historic: it’s the first time this esteemed company has welcomed an outside designer into its family to develop a licensed collection. So the magnitude of this honor is not lost on me. This is just the beginning of what’s to come,” says Jenkins.
We'll have plenty more to share here about our collaboration in the coming months.

As amazing as this news is, it’s not the only super-exciting piece of news we have to share.
If you haven’t heard yet, next month, we are set to make our debut at High Point Market in North Carolina! For many designers, this is the most important market of the year, and we’re thrilled to bring not only our fixtures and faces to this great event, but those of our extended family of decorative lighting brands (Mitzi, Troy, and Corbett).
That Corey will be there with us, introducing our new collection together, giving an inspiring and deeply informed talk, and mingling amidst mimosas in the morning, merely makes it all the more special for us and auspicious a debut.

For those who’ve gotten a peek at the collection, there’s more coming at High Point, including a set of portables that are sure to surprise and delight you. We don't want to say too much, but we'll just say this: One of the things Corey is known for is his inspired, bold use of color. Another is the way he takes cues from the runway.
But speaking of peeking, here's a glimpse at a few of our new pieces designed with Corey.
-At Arrow LIghting in Larchmont, we are pleased to see this collaboration marries classic and high style. Traditionalists at heart, we have changed with the times. As you can see from this brief glimpse at this collection, Corey is all about Luxe Classics and we LOVE it!
