"Yesterday we reached out to RuneScape gold the developers of known HD projects and requested them to stop working on their projectssince this is an area we are directly investigating," Jagex stated. Jagex sent 117 an email stating that it was working on the development of an HD version of Old School Runescape was "still quite early in its exploration phases" however "very much in progress."
"Naturally this means that any fan-driven project that will attempt to change the look of Old School RuneScape looks is at odds with our own plans," Jagex wrote to 117. "We consider it essential that there is consistency regarding the way Old School looks as a result, so we'd like to ensure that our changes to the official version are the only ones we have available.
